To be fair, me and Colin have been twice. The 1st time we had a fantastic holiday, but the second time was a nightmare and has put us of ever going back. Going by the varied comments here, it looks like its a bit of a gamble but I guess you could say that about a lot of places.

I've never heard of where you're going to, but I went to Egypt in August - Cairo, for 4 days.
Being in Abu Dhabi I am used to having the shits very occasionally, however, whatever I got in Cairo on the night of day 2 crippled me. Had horrendous stomach pains which resulted in the shits, and was throwing up like a good'n for the next 3 days. That included soiling my kegs on the plane back after following through from a fart and having to throw my kegs into the bin in the aircraft bog. Had to sit with toilet roll up my crack for the remainder of the flight, until I got home. 
I think the key is to eat food that they are used to cooking, and to avoid food and drink that they're not used to cooking/making. That goes for the beer and anything else - Have a drink of well known Heineken instead of an Egyptian beer, etc etc. Seriously. If you have something that doesnt agree with you on day 1, then it could fuck up the rest of your holiday!
I would recommend a trip to Cairo if you've got a spare day or 2. NO LONGER! Go to the Pyramids, go to the Egyptian Museum which is incredible, go for a trip down the Nile, then leave.

marsa mutruh is on the carribean side of egypt not the red sea. thanks for all the reviews tho. Also iam already on trip advisor but the hotel isnt open for british untill the time we go, we are one of the first guest there, its exclusive to first choice in the uk.
