We consume around 20-26 pints a week (it's worse come xmas time), so the old dear has to buy in bulk from costcos

Fecks knows how we manage that, was surprised when the old dear mentioned it, although i think its more 20pints rather than 26. Most of it gets drunk (i tend to have a pint a day at least, plus what ever the old man drinks) though, and then you have cereals and the stupid amounts of tea and coffee we all consume. Plus what ever gets used for cooking etc.
This is one reason we got rid of the milkman though, was charging too much and he kept complaining about the amount of milk we were using

I always find if we freeze milk it is slightly more watery when it defrosts

I do 5 pints a day easily, love it.
Refuse to freeze milk as it goes yellowy green

It freezes but it seperates due to the fat defrosting at a different rate to the water.

Yes, but you need to defrost it slowly otherwise it separates.
