I would have said your diet also lacks essential fats.
Would be worth investing in cod oil tabs or liquid, and having 3, 3 times a day.
Defo need to add the fast acting carbs in post workout.

Would a good post-workout shake include whey protein, l-glutamine and dextrose?
In a nutshell, yes, but i favour Vitargo over dextrose/maltodextrin.

Thanks for that. Would you say it was worth the extra ££ over dextrose?

Peri workout nutrition is the most important part of training.
A basic peri workout protocol would look like this:
30min pre w/o: 25g casein, 25g waxy maize
15 min pre w/o 25g vitargo/malto, 25g whey
Throughout training sip 25g casein
immediately after training 25g whey, 25g vitargo/malto
45 mins post workout 25g whey, 25g vitargo/malto.
120 mins post workout have a big meal.
Peri-workout nutrition is the future of getting big quickly, have a protocol like that and you will have no choice but to put size on!
thats good ADVICE mate, but i need products to buy rather than technical info. cud u recommend any products on market?

Its not the taste, its the fact the powder does not mix in at all so you end up drinking what may as well be a cup of water with sand in it.
