I saw this on SSN earlier.

Hes a funny one is Brown. Really good and consistant at times, then when he dorns the white shirt he has a crap game. Hes filled in for Neville brilliantly and done well in centre back recently.

Hes one of the best in the league at the moment in my opinion. For club anyway.

Thing is, Fergie has probably said it to make sure Brown doesn't lose any focus whilst filling in a centre back. Just like he defends Foster so his confidence isn't knocked.

Brown is under-rated imo, he is a top class defender and credit to him for sticking at united all this time

He deserves his place starting alongside vidic

agreed! it's all about giving him confidence. He is a good defender though
