I know I've got another thread on the same subject, I've just made a new one so that it's less cluttered.
Basically, I downloaded utorrent and started trying to download an album. It's taking ages - it's been on the go for about half an hour now and it's only at 33%. Only reason I'm concerned is because my mate's told me he can download albums in about 10mins.
Has anyone got any ideas on how to make it go any faster?

Is the 'automatic' setup on the portforward site OK to use?
Danny, is says: Seeds 4 (24), peers 0 (16) - It was 17 seeders and 0 leechers when it started though.

Some things are quick, some things aren't so quick.
Just because your mate gets 1 album in 10 minutes doesn't mean they will all be that fast.

Granted, but this is the 3rd or 4th one I've tried. I had BitComet and it was doing the same on that, then was advised to get utorrent but I still don't think it's working properly. I've left that same one running and the ETA has gone up to a day and a half. I'm going to try that portforward just now.

Is it common albums?
After the buzz when something is first released, most (not all) will slow down because not as many people are wanting it.
Torrents basically go faster the more people want it.

It's Dr Dre - The Chronic 2001. Ironic thing is that I'm only trying to download it because I can't be arsed bringing the CD in from the car.
That portforward thing's quite compicated, how do I find out my router's user name and password? An do I want to go putting it into this random program?
