hey guys/ladies new to the site so hello, just bought myself a corsa b sri 1.4 8V with 11 months tax and test for a 180 quid BUT the bloke who owned it beofore me went from 4th to 1st which as you can imagine didnt do the bottom end any good, so got my idea on doing a redtop conversion soon but i need it at the mo for running around in as i already have a land rover discovery as a project and requires alot of welding for its mot anyway going off the subject know i need to know if theres a 8V engine i can drop straght in for the time being to get me round.

you need to know if any 8v engine will fit straight in or? It doesn't make sense mate but i'll try answer it...

sri's are multipoint injection.you could put a 1.4 spi in but would need all the pump and ecu etc changing over.or if you get get hold of one put a nova 1.6 gte 8v lump in

Just get another sri engine? there cheap enough, your looking for a C14SE, can also be found in astras
