VNE and and VNO are two different things. The 787 has a higher VNO which is more useful for a civil airliner

I think its a lovely looking aircraft.

There's normally a hole in the back that the crew can jump out of if it goes wrong. They say it's just there for show though as if it goes tits up they're fucked. Saying that, they already know it will work before it had been built.
