I am trying to fit the belt to the power steering and only way i can see to do it is to cut the bottom Adjustment part down a bit so the pump sits flush with the mount. other wise i cannot get the belt over. i would say maybe the belt is too small but have tried LOADS of different ones. will this be ok to just cut it down a bit so it fits? shouldnt see it making any difference as long as the pump sits flush.. correct??
Cheers in advance.. Matt

What size of belt do you have and what type of belt? As in multi V or single/double V.
I'm not really understanding either, sorry.

i know! What i mean is the belt cannot be adjusted enough to fit so if i cut that bit off i could then have the belt around the pulleys. At the moment this bit is stopping me bolting in the bottom of the pump because its not sitting fluch with the mount the bit i have scribbled in red is touching the engine block and should be sitting behind and flush with the mount if u know what i mean?
