Just been for a spin tonight and noticed that if I let go of the wheel the car pulls slightly to the left. I cant feel it pulling when im holding it but just wondered whether it serious and how much would it cost to fix?

Ive been told it probably either my balancing or tracking..is this right?

Also, just before I noticed it I did some kind of major side ways wheel spin ( the roads were damp

) while taking part in a bit of traffic light action, could this have caused it?

Probably balancing, should only cast about a £10 note to sort.

I got it when my new wheels went on £8.22 to set it right.

if its pulling to the left, its not going to be balancing... that would more than likely cause a vibration... pulling could be a number of things. Check tyre pressures, does make a difference... or get the tracking checked normally about 25 notes or so

Well mine pulled to the left and the balancing sorted it.

It could also be the fact that the car is following the camber of the road and you need to get used to it.

Just take it to a garage, most garages will tell you what it is straight away or after a little look, not gonna cost much.

all cars pull slightly to the left! If you fall asleep you dont go into oncoming traffic.

Tracking is £15 odd. If its only minor dont worry mate.

just chek if your tyre needs pumpin up , i needed to do that and now the pullin isnt anywer near as bad and now i can tell it just needs trackin or sumat.

get them balanced, tracked & the correct tyre pressure. what size of wheels are u running? tramiling could also be a cause if running anything wider than standard

this is called torque steer, most FWD cars suffer from it due to the different driveshaft lengths on each side

If it is only pulling slightly it is probably something which every car will feel, thats called road camber.

My dad is a driving instructor, and he had 3 old shape corsa's (Corsa B) and every single one pulled to the left. Something about the car, i don't really think it can be sorted.

if it pulls to the left your car might of been a write off thats been re-welded

most UK cars do not pull to the left, its a myth! as cybermonkey said its the road camber

try it on a perfectly flat road/track - it wont pull if setup correctly

and stuckey - nothing like fearing the worst is there!!

Every car I've ever driven has pulled slightly to the left. Not that much, you can easily steady it with your knee if your on the phone and eating or something.

i went to get my tracking done and the guy couldnt do it cos it was 2 low at the back!

gonna have to get those laser tracking things done!

The left front wheel takkes the most abuse because potholes and kerbs etc are on that side.

Get the wheels balanced, and get a laser alignment check done. Also check the trackrod arms arnt bent. One of mine is, slightly misjudjed the kerb outside the chippy...
