Need to sort out a fancy dress outfit for next year, need to dye a dinner suit from black to red, is this possible by bleaching it first.
Cant find any decent red suits.
Any help appreciated

Yeah you would have to strip the black from it first. Make sure you wash it a few times before colouring it red to remove the bleach from it.

cool beans, i may just get a white one from the bay, need it to be half black and half red. ill cut it in half, dye it and get my nan to sew it back together, same with trousers and bow tie, oh and shoes gonna get one flocked black and one flocked red

It will only work if you've got a cotton or wool suit. If it's polyester then it wont have been dyed so I don't think it'll bleach.

hmm i might just get a cheap asda one, cut it in half get some material and get my nan to take half apart for templates and remake it in the red material. cheers for your help peeps
