well, day off, weather....dry but cold, so decided to whap my brakes on, first things first though, food and motivation

Bacon sarnie

Top gear

Parts in question (rear discs were replaced before i bought so never bothered with ebc for them)

4x4 mode

old crap off

old pads and discs were buggered, bigger lips than lesley ash

new stuff on

never been a fan of green calipers, and red pads just topped it off! so....

replaced the dogbone mount to for a poly one, feels a lot more positive and has prevented a bit of wheel hop, not bad for £20 anyhow

then some pics once brakes were bedded in (the right way.....70-0 a few times)

and the temperature for most of the day......

I'd have swerved the EBC reds and have gone for DS2500's though. Much better on a heavier car.

Poly bush and painted calipers are though

They are ace, better than OEM from cold and great when warmed up. Perfect for fast/road use. DS3000's are better for on a track although plenty have used the DS2500's without too much fade.

I have anthracite wheels so it's hard to tell, they probably are a little more dusty than the red stuff as they are at least good for that.

DS2500s are quite dusty, but I have grey wheels so it's fine

Looks good Lee, those wheels suit the car so much!

I have red stuff pads on the evo and I gotta say there pure shit lol.

I was suprised as I had the green stuff on my 106 and they stopped the car on its nose coupled with the brembo max discs.

What discs did you go for???
