This must be the worse time to sell a car, ad been up for 2 weeks with barely any interest when do the markets pick up a little or does anyone think the used market will pick up again very shortly due to the scrappage scheme coming to and end again

Its christmas time so it doesnt help as people have other things on their mind plus they are spending money of presents. IMO the best time to advertise anything is halfway between xmas and the start of summer as theres enough chance for people to have a bit of money but not too soon to the holiday season that they are saving up for holidays.

Depends on what it is/price etc. Ive had mine up about a week, and had around 15 emails, didnt put my number on it etc. And even had an offer bang on the price i wanted, but unfortunatly now looks like im keeping it.

randomly had two calls tonight:

1. Is your car still for sale,
Ans: Yes the corsa is still for sale
1. so your a car dealer
..... just put the phone down as im in the middle of packing my case

2. (Straight away) is your car taxed
Ans: Yes
2. Is it in the £35 tax band
Ans: No
2. some crap, some more crap i will call you back

waste of friggin time, come look at the car, that person is going to buy a car just to pay £35 a year road tax, so the initial £1k extra seems to mean nothing to him

Im sorry but he is hardly time wasting. He wants to know things before he makes the jump. I love how people moan about it, but end of the day, you have got to let people know what the score is, or you will never sell it.
