hi there i have a problem with my vauxhall corsa 1.4 sri 8v when ever i go to turn the engine over it just keeps turning over till about a minute when it starts. if you put your foot on the accelerator it starts but its very lumpy could this be the fuel filter, as i do run the fuel quite low some times.would appreciate your help

could be. a fuel filter is only about £5 so it carnt harm to change it anyway. its inline with the rear passanger window under the car. looks ike a small tin with a pipe going in each side. id also try changing the spark plugs and runn some decent injetor cleaner through it.

done the fuel filter still the same, cleaned the spark plugs still nothing.... ???

i think the 8 valve sri's have an octane plug at the top left hand side of the enigne bay. it will say 98 on one side and 95 on the other. check it is on the 95octane side. if its not that then its proberly best get it booked in a garage as you could change loads of parts and still not fix it.
