Hi

ok im in two minds of what to do,
im looking to buy a new corsa soon but, i would like a 2.0
I am currently saving (saved about £200 in two weeks) but i would like the car just before summer
i dont no if i should buy a corsa 2.0 already done and save all the hard work
OR
Buy a 1.4 sport and convert it to a 2.0, im not that mechanially minded but a few of my freinds are and i can always get there help on this or post up for help in my local section on here,
Im just wondering what would you do, because if i build i can buy parts as i go along but if i 1 done i have to obv wait until the right car at the right price comes along

Pros of doing it yourself:

learn stuff
Know its done properly
Do exactly how you want it
Can use your shell if its a nice one

Buying ready done

Quicker
cheaper
less hassle (providing you get a good one)

Depends what you are building it for, every day use, id say a 1.4 Sport or 1.2 SXi, just for the interior etc, and Sport for leccy windows.

Building it for light weight track use, you want a basic LS or something with NO extra's inside.

Id go for the 1.2 SXi, then you have the electric power steering.
