I've got my insurance renewal coming up soon on the 106 so I've been looking for a few quotes online. I've had two non fault crashes this year. One was for £200 and the other was £800. On elephant I tried getting quotes with them declared and without them declared and there there was £300 difference in the price Do these crashes go against me even though they weren't my fault?

Anyone else had this happen? Just going to try a few other places now and see if they are the same

Yeh, they go against you.

When I put the 'Claim Cost' in, I also put my compensation (sp) amount in.

Ahh damn it! I didn't added my compensation to it either. God knows how much it'll be with that on as well

Looks like the corsas going to be interesting to insure then

Yup, think I pay around £1600 for my Corsa and £600 a year for my Land Rover

Paid £2000 a year for it when I was 17! Ohh well!

Why did you have to claim on your insurance when it was the other people who crashed into you

He didnt, if you have a non fault accident, it still puts your own policy up even if you didnt claim on that policy. Joke tbh!

I dont even know how much my crash claim amount was so I just make a figure up when getting claims

I was at fault when I bumped into someone, but its made no difference to my premium with some companies when i've been getting other quotes

Depends if you informed the insurance or not.

They want to be told about EVERYTHING, but if you never claimed on your insurance then you aren't telling lies.

If you did tell your insurance then you are supposed to put it down.

To me, you saying on the internet form you had a non fault claim would mean to them that someone crashed into you and either fucked off or wasnt insured therefore you had to claim, IMO I wouldnt put it down

I've never put down any non fault claims, claimed off my insurance whilst on said policy and nothing was said, I wouldn't bother. I don't see how they can justify somebody crashing into me putting MY insurance up. They just make it up as they go along, it pisses me off

The insurance want to know about it, that's why they say any claim.

Whether you do it or whether it gets picked up on much is another matter.

I've had two incidents where people have hit me and I've claimed off theirs. I've never said anything about them when getting quotes, only the one that i had which was my fault.

Never had a problem

according to admiral car insurance statisticly becasue you have had a non fault claim you are more likely to have an at fault claim hence you premium going up my insurance went up by £100 this yr due to my neighbour (old git) reversing off his drive straight into the side of my car i wasnt even in the house when let alone the car when it happened so how should that go against me but try telling an insurance company that
