Hi Guys, thought id start a project thread as ive been on here a while.

Can i just apologise first as i have a habbit of only remembering to take photos
after ive finished putting things on lmao. Never think before.

My corsa is a 1997 1.6sport.

Its Polar sea Blue hence the Polar Bear title.

I paid a whacking £750 lol.

Since i got it ive had a world of problems.

Had to take it back to the garage to have:

-Rocker gasket,
-Cambelt Kit,
-Waterpump,
-Few sensors

and a few more bits and bobs.

Do you ever find you get a 'Lucky' car?

When this one was standard it was wiping the floor with a 1.6sport that had a
4-1, full exhaust system with decat, remapped with a few more bits.

Anyway after a month or so decided to buy a Dbilas inlet(£200). Decided to do the Headgasket
at the same time as fitting.

ROCKER OFF

CAM

VERY OILY THROTTLE, MAYBE SUGGESTING WORN BOTTOM END.

HEAD OFF, DBILAS ON

ALL FINISHED AND TIDY.

So i fitted the Dbilas with a remapped ECU and it ran fine for a while. Then it
started to struggle to start, and eventually wouldnt atall.
I tool it to the garage where they had it for 3 f**king weeks to decide it was the
ECU that was shot. Managed to get hold of another. So after a month and the garage
not doing much id got a nice bill of £250 Got it back no and its all god atm.

Next i lowered it 60mm on Gmax springs(£60). Totally shocking ride, but looks so much better imo.
Not got and specific pics.

Then i Dewipered the rear.

Looks alot better to me, not very practicle in this weather im finding, but makes the
back alot smoother and flowing.

Added a Magnex backbox (£20) with a sportex racetube(£50). Only a small bore.

Put a Matt black sunstrip on.

Again, not to everyones taste, abit chavvy, but i like it. Makes the windscreen feel
abit smaller and sporty.

Then managed to get a BadBoy bonnet for £60 and got rid of my grill.

Eventually in the long run itle be sprayed the same colour and a new slatted
or honeycomb grill will be purchased.

Planning on the track look for it, so im stripping it and putting a cage in. Atm being winter im
keeping the rooflining and doorcards etc in for warmth. But come spring itle all be gone.

Heres what i did today.

Going to collect this cage and rear brace from Stu-G off here soon this week.

Thats all for the moment guys.

Next on the cards is some Sparco Sprint seats, as there small and some harnesses.
Then some nice wheels, not sure what yet though.

i wouldnt worrie bwt the bottom end being worn just because the state of the throttle body. when i rebuilt mine it was very simlaur. its a result of the oil breater and egr sending exaust gases back through the throttlebody.
