Hi All
Not very quizzd up on pc's
It's just come up with "virtual memory running low" How do i clear up the memory and make it more responsive apart from buying an external hardrive?
I've emptied the recycle bin and i clear the temporary files out of internet options....anything else?

Close any programs you don't need open.
I assume the message is referring to your RAM not necessarily hard drive space.

yeah, that would be memory not hard drive - so clearing your recycle bin etc wouldn't help.
as said, close any programs you don't need open, also check system tray to see what's running down there and consuming memory.
good way to check is ctrl&shift&esc to bring up task managar, click on processes and sort it by mem usage - see what's taking up the most

internet explorer is taking a HUGE amount of memory up, close it and re-open it, then check the memory usage again.
it shouldn't be nowhere near 336,680 K
