Hey...

I was at my parents house recently and came across a really good old footy management game from way back in 1995.

I'm trying to install it on my laptop but I am struggling badly. Firstly, can it be installed? I know it is trying to do it from DOS. If it can, how?

All help is much appreciated.

Have either of you tried DosBox ?

That worked with me with games from the 80's!

(You do need a little knowledge of DOS Syntax tho)

Either that or the old, run as administrator, or win95 compatible mode?

I'd assume it's either USM (1 or 2), Champ Man, or SWOS?

Used to love USM2, betting against your own team to make a bit of extra cash, then getting accused in the paper of taking bungs (which you could do, iirc)

Building up all your ground and fast food outlets.

Gimme half hour or so, i'll see what I can do, might have a game myself

Right, got it working fine on my machine....

Install Dosbox
Open that
Should get a screen with z:\ on it ?
type "mount c: d:\usm2" - d:\usm2 is where I installed it, i'll guess you'll have something different, but make it the root, so it's easier to type! c:\usm2 or whatever.
Then type "c:"
Should change to the virtual c drive.
Then type "usm2e" and it should run, well did on mine
