eml been coming on and off lately, but running fine.

Just done paperclip test. Got two codes. One for the Lambda sensor, (Ok cause I got one in shed)

And another. 0164. Says it's the knock sensor, but am I right in saying that if that had gone, the car wouldn't run? Gonne change the Lambda and see if it stops coming on, but just wondering about that one.

Cheers lads.

Yes mate the car would run, when knock sensor isn`t working the engine will run off basic settings out the ECU.

Ahh I see, and would the light only be on every now and then? Mainly when I plant my foot.

Easy job to do?

Cheers.

What I meant is knock sensor another name for the crank sensor. Just that on the XE's the crank sensor shows up as a fault when you do a paperclip test because the engine's not running. Thought it might be the same in this case, but fuck it.

Ok but I'm sick of the eml coming on, cause in my head, there's something not right when it's on lol, whether it runs fine or not.
