hi ,
i have a coresa with a 20xe conversion, and about a week ago found a hole in the rad.

for a quick fix until i get my ally rad i put one in from a astra mk3 along with the fan , also changed over the switch/stat witch screws into the side of the radiator.

anyway fixed it in and wired it up and no my temp gauge goes to 100 degrees the fan will only come on for about 10 seconds take the temp under 100 go of then come back on.

how do i get the temp DOWN and the fan to stay in longer

WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG??

CHEERS

I wouldn't advise putting your fan on constant, If you want to do something like that wire it via a switch in the car so you can turn it on and off.

Was the fan working ok when before fitting the Astra one?
It may be the rad switch that you used from the Astra being faulty, Does your old one fit into the Astra rad?

on my mk3 astra gsi the fan kicked in at arround 100 and then went down slightly but on open roads it would come right down, i then fitted the switch from a corsa b so that the fan would cut in at 90 rather then 100
