Ok so bought the game when it came out and played it for a few weeks until I did about 20 per cent of it, but then bought other games and left it. Initially I was a bit pissed off with it as it had such a build up, but just started playing it again and it's awesome.
Just started being able to take out helicopters and speed boats now, so about 27 per cent done. Did any one else just leave it or did any one complete it ?

I just kept going and completed it. Well completed the story, not completed all the jumps, killed all the pigeons or all the other hundreds of little challenges

Nothing will beat San Andreas. That really did smash everything in its path and reset the boundries. It was always going to be hard to follow that up.
I must have lost full on months of my life playing that game and not even doing anything in particular, just driving up mountains and them jumping off that ramp on a bmx with a parachute attached before a quick trip to vegas to play some roulette

Can't argue with that, they had the perfect opportunity with the next gen consoles to improve on San Andreas, to really put more depth into the massive landscape they created, and went and made 4. Which was "ok"... but San Andreas was awesome, I spent ages in Casino's on it, and singing Horse with no name, let alone doing anything else on that game.
With 4, I finished the missions, that was it

Get some cheating fucks on there though, I had one guy who mysteriously never died, and when I smacked his chopper into the water, just popped up out again. Hmm.

I think the ps2 ones were better, especially san andreas, as the guy had my name lol and also, because you could hook wagons up to trailers etc. And fid hidden cars and stuff. Tractors, tow trucks lol.
More fun tbh. I think they should do a new GTA london, would be better I think.
