will be a 1/2 pn plug normally and im sure there on the back of the block, could be wrong tho

It's on the back of the block by the oil pump. It is a 2 pin sender and uses the same hole as the single pin switches.

Not really. You may be able to remove it be touch but it's a 2 min job from under the car.
