Right, got a sweet Kenwood HU, came with a supplied adaptor lead, plugged the lead into the original sockets, then into the HU> But it wont work when the ignitions off. Which wires do i change/cut? And where do i cut them? Ie. the original ones, or the adaptor ones, or do i need to cut and rewire?!

they are only designed to come on when the keys are in the acc position. You need to connect a permanent live to the ACC wire.
