After much deliberation over what car to get next,

Options being stuff like:
BMW 320CI
Astra VXR
Corsa VXR

But decided that the running costs of all of the above weren't comfortably feasable.

Had a brain wave and thought what about a Clio 182?
These any good?
Fuel, tax, common issues?

i own one, absoloutly love it.

Comes with all the toys as standard xenons/digital climate, cruise etc...

So so so so so much fun to drive. Brilliant chassis with the cup pack.

Theres lots of internet rumours on them. But my personal experience would indicate its not made of cheese like reported. Dash plastics are crap but they work. Mine doesnt rattle at all, driving position is fine

I've had mine for two years and still love it.

Great spec and standard and has a lot of soul and character. The Map and exhaust tranformed mine and it always put a smile on my face when I drive it.

Make sure you buy a cherished one which has been looked after by a specialist. Servicing costs can be pricey if you are not up to speed on what needs doing.

Mine achives 40mpg on the extra urban and around 34-35 combined.

I appreciate they are not everyones cup of tea so drive one and decide for yourself

I'd say..

Rattly
Quick when booting it around town but no pull on motorways
30mpg even when i cained it
VERY good handling and with the Cup packs and Exalto's near perfection
i wouldn't buy another either.

Lots of plus's though.
