Could fuck your car around so much! Its unreal for such a stupid little valve that is pointless it makes your car run like a bag of crap!

clean it a little so the piston moves freely then block the bugger off

Yep blank it off as long as its working ok and obviously keep it connected to plug.

But wont that put your emissions up? As it reduces them doesnt it?

Well so what sod the emissions will still pass mot , blank it, try cleaning it out, replace it, thats your choices.

mine caused me to have flat spots when i put mi foot down put up with it aslong as i could then got it changed its quite pricey too well was with my 1.6sport cos there hard to change mine went 2 times 250 altogether

I'm pretty sure the EGR only works on idle and when the engine heats up, not all the time, so shouldn't effect the emissions when fully heated to operating temperature.

That might be the sai but anyway the egr is a bloody pain its there to make money for vauxhall and egr suppliers just blank it and why there fit a power box etc.

im actually thinkning of somethong else. the thing im on about is pretty much the same shape but sits on the engine block on the right hand side

Defo the SAI, im amazed at how many people try selling the SAI manifold valve as an EGR

i dont mean next to the engine, i mean its part of the engine block, connected to the side of it.
