Mine was smoking, spluttering and using loads of oil, it was the head gasket

rings,oil stems,bottom end i would say!

as i said rater then fork out loads i'd put a new sport engine in...see it runnning in a car before you buy it tho!!!

Have a look at fuel pump relay also, as this controls spark as well as the fuel delivery

Smoke is quite bad now and I'm sure the the head :S
