ok... queue essay.
... Naturally with anything you'll have winners and losers (and people who seem to break even).
take 10,000 people.
Get them to (for instance) bet on horses over a period of a month.
You will have some that have made money, some that have lost money and a small proportion that have made lots of money!
- On the long term though, if you watched this same person continue to play, it's unlikely they'll end up in profit in the long term. e.g. Take another 10,000 people (including this person) and do another month betting on horses.
Once again, you'll get some that win, some that'll lose, and some that have made lots and some that have lost lots.
The people who have made lots, this time, are unlikely to be the same as last time. The guy who won a lot the first time round, may of lost it all this time (although there is still the chance he may of won a lot again - but eventually he will end up losing on a long enough time line).
The other thing is, these 'winners' will never tell you how much in their life they've spent. e.g. that dude may of won 86k off of the £30. But he may gamble £30 every week on that site / similar site. Until he won the £86k he was probably down on his money.
The cool thing from this post, is that the bloke winning £86k does prove that some people do win the big pay outs! I've played those online things before and best I've ever randomly won is £400. You get the impression when playing them, that no one wins the top prizes!

Aye, I'm noticing a trend of me writing essays that don't explain what I mean easily I did it the other day on the lotto thread.

Imagine if you had a power cut and somehow lost all that money because you never cashed in before the power cut or something

Everyone on FB should put it as their status so we can see what their friends react like
Although 8 out of 10 people online now are off CS someones bound to spoil it.
