Author help with redtop running rich

hello everyone

just wondering if anyone could help me, A mate of mine has a redtop in a corsa b its running rich and very smokey as in blue smoke. i dont really have a clue what it could be my guess is headgasket but has anyone got any pointers on what it could be.

blue smoke is usually rings is it not ???

i was thinking bottom end just didnt know what. seems like it has abit of low compression as it sturggles to start now and again,sometimes it doesnt even start

is it turning over ??? is the cts connected properly it could also be fuel pump relay aswell

mine did exactly the same in my old corsa it was the coolant temp sensor for the ecu reading changed that and it was spot on again

no you got it wrong there adam it is a bit smokey but its more black than blue and also it started fine untill i ran it out of fuel now it starts but it is just over fueling loads like back firing and stuff i have changed the fuel relay that helped abit its had new plugs and leads and rotor arm and dissy cap it has a very good spaerk but just over fuels really bad

low compression would accure if your piston rings are on their way out, as would it struggle to start, and would also explain the smoke.

Change the fuel filter? might be clogged?

Check your TPS mate, thats what made mine over fuel ( eratic voltage reading).+ clean your maf censor with carb cleaner.
