Thought i would share, Basically I had an accident in June, An audi went into me & he left the scene. I managed to get his plate and go to police it took a while then out of the blue two days ago i have a phone call saying hes been in court & charged with it. he got 5 points and a fine. i'm happy with that but...

I tried to make a claim against him for the damage to my car, & seem to have lost the receipts for the parts (scrapyard parts). I don't think i'm going to get anywhere now. I have searched everywhere.

What should I do?

Go to the scrapyard and ask them to make you new reciepts? Even if its written on letter headed paper and signed by one of them, just explain whats happend.
