Got some coursework to do and ive searched the net and its all crap.
Any folk done this at Uni?
Investigate how to convert audio CD to MP3 and discuss relevant copyright implications
Write an objective review about the success of the WAP technology
Cheers

I got an 'A' in Information Systems at school in GCSE but that was over 5 years ago and don't think thats in the same level as Uni! Also didn't have MP3 or WAP in those days. So in other words, don't know why I'm replying cos I ain't got a clue! Sorry.

Patrick - MP3's were about 5 years ago, the first time I encoded a MP3 was about 97-98 time.
Converting MP3's is Quite easy if you have the software, I take it you need theory behind the conversion?
As for the copyright Issues do some searching for info on Napster and why they had to shut the site, you are bound to find something there on Copyright.
As for WAP its CRAP!!!.....

The process of encoding a digital audio sample to MP3 has nothing really to do with copyright issues.
For more information on the encoding look at: http://www.itpapers.com/cgi/SubcatIT.pl?scid=378
WAP didn't take off because of the cost of the service compared to the features it offered at the time.
People were getting used to surfing the Internet relatively quickly and seeing feature-rich content. WAP offered little content, was overpriced and the interfaces/devices were clunky.
You should investigate the costs of WAP when it was launched, typical handsets that were used, what the alternatives were.
