TBH it only lasts one game then you should be at level 4 when you can create you own class where you start with some half decent guns anyway. The M4A1 is not that bad, No recoil but its pretty weak, you also have the Intervention  which is my fav sniper rifle and the L86 LSW is a beast 
So it's not all bad and you will find yourself up into the level 20's in no time. I'm nearly on my 9th prestige and I'm getting bored of it now.

i found it added a new lease of life to the game tbh. i was bored of having brilliant guns etc etc. it made it more fun playing again

i have got to 70 and not gone prestige once, the only benefit is a dif logo and more titles/emblems, these do not outweigh having shit guns though so pointless imo.
