I wana get a sleeve done and finished before i go in the navy in october and i havent got a clue what to get, i want something personal to me and not just something of the wall! But i cant think of anything so i was wondering if you guys could show me any of you'rs or any ideas? Dont really want colour stuff, just black and white, post pics please. Thanks

Koi Carp with some arabic writing and a 1950's pin up model would be original.
Stick some carpe diem and caveat emptor in there as well.

my sister was in a coma for a while so i designed my sleeve, it has carpe diem in which people say everybody has, but when she woke up she told me to live every day to the full and sieze the day-hence why i had carpe diem.

This is why i don't get why people take the piss over other peoples tattoos. If you have something that other people have it doesnt mean youre trying to copy them, it just has significance to you or you like the design. Don't get me wrong i don't like Old English style writing down your forearm but i wouldnt tell someone their tattoo was shit because it could be a dead family members name or something similar. Its all down to personal choice and whether you like the design or it has personal significance to you.
On the original idea of something for a sleeve design id just write down the things that mean most to you and you would want permanently and then start from there. Take an idea and try and portray it in a picture and then when youve done that for all the things that mean most to you cut them out and just arrange them into a design and then just fill in between them to make them flow together.
