Curious to know how a X16XE with a pannel Filter sounds compared to induction kit?
As i'll be getting a induction kit/pannel filter soon, and I want maxium sound as I love the induction grunt of the X16XE's, but i'm worried about heat soak.

i've got courtney panel and de-restricrted the air box, and drilled it, gives a nice grunt, and much more responsive than havin a cone, my car came with a k'n'n cone filter when i got it, and i couldnt wait to change it, such a difference imo
p.s very jealous of the brocade sport, always wanted one

id say its more echoey than with an open filter but not as loud you dont get the rasp like you do with an open cone

an inclosed one imo will be better as your bound to get a bit to much heat soak with an open cone.
the noise difference as andy said, but i've full exhuast system with de-cat so im not to bothered. i love the sound of my car with panel, de-cat, and middle and rear silencer

You could make a clip which came off the bottom and use the jubilee clip to hold it on or something.
