I have to complete a oral presentation for part of my first year, it is worth 70% of my unit grade, I am working in a group of 4. I obviously know about appearance and eye-contact etc. I have to talk for 3 minute's, so not that long at all. The group decide what to talk about and someone wanted to do Gay people's right's so that's the topic.

Does anyone have any good tip's that they can give me so that we can preform a good presentation?

Thanks

The person who wanted to do it is bi-sexual, it is only within the seminar class of about 15-20 people who I know.

Just turn it round and speak about how gays shouldn't have rights. Three minutes of watching their shocked faces would so be worth losing 70% of your grade

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

It's his first year so it doesn't count to the final degree, worth it!

(Unless you're at college )

Know your subject matter and every single thing that you might go anywhere near in the delivery.

Know your audience and what they know, or at least assume that they don't know what you know.

Don't wait for approval, you know more than them.

Relax. Start with the word 'now', or 'OK', or something that indicates you're talking now. Then talk about what you know.

Its easy.

If you could back up your point and argue it well surely that's just as valid as arguing for them?

John was thinking that, will have to do the research. Something different from the rest of the group.

1 year extra to learn how to cut off crusts? I wish, You must be joking that's a complicated subject. Don't think I could complete that element.
