My brother did this with his Nokia 5210, left it in the airing cupboard over night and it worked again, for a day then it went to the great big acid filled phone bin in the sky

Funny thing is, I could still hear the other person talking for a bit under the water before it turned itself off.
Its lasted today anyway, should be OK.
