I've just come off an 11 hour shift (I did an extra 3 hours to cover a colleague) and I'm feeling a little low, I was caring for a young woman who was one in a million, she had 2 lovely kids who were pleasant and well mannered, and she also fostered regularly and didn't even get any funding on her request, well 4 months ago she was told she had lymphoma and her treatment plan was set out for her and the doctors were very confident she'd make it through the course of treatment, she's been in and out for the past 2 months with long spells of chemo that put her on her bottom for days on end so she was admitted onto my ward to which I got to know this lady really well, but tonight she passed away, after treatment stopped helping her, why can't little criminals and cider bashing chavs have all the bad luck?

Ranted out!

nursing does have alot of lows but also some good points, my mum is a district nurse and specialises in palitive care so alot of people she gets to know die and it still affects her each time.

as bad as it seems she has to just put them behind her and then carry on the next day.

I totally agree.People who do good in the world have no luck and people who rob old ladies and set fire to houses with oap's in etc get given a little sentance then a new name
