Never been a proper 3rd liner really, just as I was moving in that direction I ended up being in the right place at the right time and side stepped into a Project Management role for a year, then 2 years as a Service Delivery Manager implementing ITIL.

Hopefully get back into those roles when the market sorts itself out

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a set of concepts and policies for managing information technology infrastructure.

Suppossed to give a better IT service to the end user (customer), save money etc and generally piss off all the IT staff that have to adhere to it

I have an ITIL.

I've never used it, my old company went down that route. Good to have on my C.V though.


Your career sounds a bit like mine, except i've not got the Prince2 project managment stuff.
