A mate painted the bumper for me.Looks a bit orange peel and flat.wet sanded underneath the bumper,g3'd it then polished it and it brought the paint up well but you could see small sand lines in the laquer.
Just want to know do i go up grades in sand paper?
Used 1500
Or do i allow the bumper more time for the paint to cure?

you want to give it at least a few days to fully cure before polishing it
then need to use higher grade wet and dry on it P2000+ finish off with a trizac (P3000) if available before polishing

Was it baked in an oven after spraying? If so, it won't need to be left to cure.
Need to use finer grade wet & dry now to remove the previous marks, then bring back up with a good cutting compound, then refine that.
