What would stop the tempreture on the clocks from recieving a signal, i.E needle dont move even when you set it to the red it wont come back on itself with ignition.

The spade clip that is mounted on that metal prong right next to the CTS?

Engine dosent have a thermostate, if thats what you mean.

Its an astra G mk4 engine (X18XE1), but in a corsa. Its as if no power gets to that part of my clocks etc fuel, revs and speedo work.

the temp display is separate to the rest the wire for it is in the footwell plug, a blue one

somewere on that engine there will be a cooant temp sensor its nothing to do with any kind of thermostat

you need a vectra thermostat with seprate coolant temp sensor, astra on runs wrong voltage signal

Found the fault, the resistor bit on the chip board on the back of the clocks has cooked itself so that why it dont work, instrument fault

And Warren i have a thermostate now just changed it over she reads correctly now instead of always being in the red

But still need to find new clocks, as currently using ones without rev gauge which sucks majorly.
