Do these still happen in this day and age?
Used to enjoy them back in student days but I would have thought everyone just dives for their iphones and searches for the answers?
Is not like you can enforce it in the pub and put a ban on phones during the quiz?

yeah one of the pubs I go to now and again has a sunday night pub quiz, not been in ages though. Cheating yourself using a phone really? I suppose someone would though

I used to go to a pub near me every Thursday for the music quiz 
Started off with 2 of us, came 5th. Then 3, came 5th. At one point there were 9 of us, came 5th

aha we've a few times, 20 quid voucher for drinks between 4 or 5 of us usually so its alright. got 14 out of a potential 45 last sunday though .

I went to a charity one a while ago and folk were cheating.
Takes FAIL to a new level that, you are that competitive you have to cheat to win a charity quiz.

Our local is in a dip, so no one can get a signal at all.... that solves any potential cheating in it tracks!

Our pub has a music quiz on Tuesdays and a genereal knowldge on Thursdays.

st helens has the biggest pub quiz in england, me and 2 mates came 6th out of 68 teams the other week, we were fucking stunned at that
