Okay so heres the situation.
I have a second car that I have had stored away for about 12 months and now I want to MOT / Tax and sell it.
So I think I best get some insurance for it...
I phone my insurance company (greenlight) who say ye sound whats the reg etc then proceed to tell me the car must be MOT'd to be insured with them
So I ask my dad to phone his insurance company, for him to insure it I need to put the reg docs in his name and wait for the logbook.
Best quote I can get is for £700 in my own name (I have 8 years no claims but there on my main car).
Pain in the ass when all want to do is move it around for a month legally so I can sell it.
Miss the good old days when you could just drive with no insurance for little trips without getting caught

If it was just driving it then i'd do it.
Last car I left on my drive with no insurance got stolen and left me seriously out of pocket. Not making the same mistake again

try evaninsurance, think they've got a site for cars too.
They do pay as you go monthly policies, I've found them quite handy for cars and vans I've had for short periods.

It's a but of a pain, but couldn't you insure it and then cancel the policy. You'll get most your money back

Don't do cars over 10 years old now.
Sorted this last night anyway, got my dad to insure it for £21 a month
