Engines are good imo, Gearbox's and clutches on the other hand arent too good!

nar torsion bar on the rear. the wheels tend to lend over like really bad camber and have alot of play in them.

Sounds daft getting one if it's only a 1.0. Might as well drive round in a paper bag...be more safe.

The thing is, you buy a saxo, be it a VTR/VTS because it has a bit of power, so you put the fact that if you hit a wheelie-bin at 5mph you will die to the back of your mind. To buy a 1.0 is just plain madness IMO

I bought a KA in the auctions when I was after something for a run about, boss little car to get me from a to b, not a single problem with it and ran it for 8 months and sold it on for £20 more than I paid for it

if its a runaround theres better cars out there. i killed the box in my vtr, then put a vts engine and box in and killed that box too.
had to have my rear axel fixed when the bearings went and the sensors in general arent the best.
other than that theyre rattly and not very safe (mines was written off at 5mph)
good on fuel though. 50mpg out of my vtr, less than 30 from the vts though
