This was my dads one.
Quick tip, if your thinking you can will get good mpg if you drive sensible then your gonna be dissapointed mate. I thought the exact same thing. Great cars but fuel efficient there not imo. There the type of car you have to just drive and not worry about the mpg !

Your gf sounds immiture tbh. Mine always says 5series etc ared "dads" cars but in reality you got to grow up sometimes and stop driving shopping trolleys.
Mans car or boys car? I know what i would choose

Haven't bothered reading thread. Ace cars, end of. Best investment ever is vagcom (£10 ebay) and you can fix pretty much anything yourself. I know my A3 Quattro inside out now.

My gf isnt imature trust me (been able to put up with her for 3.5 years lol) She just seems to think the s3's are massive like a 5 series. Hence her saying about the daddy image.
How much did you all end up paying for one?
This one caught my eye but its a tadon the expensive side but with low miles etc

Your dads one looks smart Ian.
I paid £12,800 for mine 3 or so years ago now so they have dropped a fair bit, that was the going rate at the time.

The two choices i have are getting either
A: One on 110k 2000p for £5600 and spend some money on services and belts etc
or
B: One on 66k 2002p for £8600 and hope nothing goes wrong with it
Stuck on this one, 3k price difference is alot but the car has less miles, newer, has small warranty, new mot, service and FSH.
