I need my sleep too. I thought being awake with a kid crying from 2am till 4am was bad enough last night

yes indeed it is mate.. they are our largest site and require some serious fire power.. most sites we support are tiny places with just 2-3 PCs on the network. This company "DB Schenker" are massive.
and yeah get paid just enough dosh to support driving the beasty 90% of wages goes on petrol (ok not quite that bad)

ed - if i have enough of it my pee looks like Mountain Dew
C2RL - only the most extreme circumstances would need us to actually go out on site. most calls can be done remotely

we get 3 hours pay/day that we are on call. if we get called out we get 6 hours pay no matter if its a 10 minute job or an 8 hour job. any call out after midnight entitles you to time off the following morning. if i get home from a call out at 2am i wont have to go into work until 10 instead of 8. it's quite good here if you don't mind giving up your social life every other week.

i'm a maintenance sparkie so it's a bit different. there are only 2 of us here atm and our places runs 24/7 so we share it every other week. i like a drink so it does piss me off a bit. we're staring another spark in April so i'll be on one week out of 3 then which is much better.
