I think people aren't in enough of a rush! No one lived at home until 25-26 years ago, it just didn't happen. However, more people got married young back then and were in a position to move out, and houses were easier to get I guess.

21 and still living at home, no intentions of moving out I have everything I need and get on really well with my family. I am gonna enjoy spunking my money a bit before settling down.

I'm not naive enough to say I wouldn't enjoy moving out, it crosses my mind plenty of times but just doesn't make sense financially as I'd be doing it by myself.

Just gone 22 looking to move out within 12-18 months I reckon. Not in a desperate rush to go, but would like the freedom to come and go without question and all the rest.

Happy to carry on saving my cash in the meantime. The bigger the deposit the cheaper it will be in the long run.
Worked out the other day borrowing an extra £5k over a 20 year mortgage would add over £10k in interest - thats a pretty good motivator

I moved out last year at 23, my partner is 22, been together 5 years.

I still get to have most of the stuff i want, gadgets, nice car etc, you just have to work a bit harder.

The only thing i find different having a house is that i dont seem to have any free time, ever.

Ive just turned 20, don't look to move out until 25 minimum tbh.

When I was in school I used to think by the age of 20 I would be engaged, have my own place and a really well paid job, I was very wrong
