hi all, i have at the moment a corsa b 1.2 sxi with esp, and if i say wanted to put a sport engine in it, how wud i wrk the power steerings ?

use the power steering rack from the 1.6 and have hydraulic ps

Just use the steering thats on wouldn't you?

but then you'd have to use a smaller drive belt as the 1.6s have hps. easier to just use the hps

can get belt off 1.4 16v sri that had no pas

yea 1.4 sri had no pas either. think my mate used an alt of a nova gsi on his with the nova bottom pulley as well to run a single v belt

As said, it would be alot easier just to get the belt from a non PAS model than changing the rack etc.

you need the alternator bracket off one without pas. as that has the tensioner for the belt built onto it istead of it being on the pas pump. or just leave the pas pump on and dont connect it up

isnt it electric ?? if it is keep all your ecu for it and just change the engine u dont need to mess with the pas
