Hi all my mate is building another vauxhall powered mini and is looking 4 a c16Se engine I think it's the same As was in the nova gte anybody no of any 4 sale or what other vauxhalls they were in.

the nova gte/gsi engine im pretty sure only came in the novas. the 1.6 8v multi point in a mk3 astra is similar kind of. but not the same.

E16SE or C16SE are both roughly 100bhp.

With a set of 40's, an aftermarket cam, headwork and a decent exhaust will see a very healthy 130bhp.

Go for a Honda B16 IMO.

early mk3 astra gls uses the c16se ( coilpack ) and nova gte e16se and nova gsi c16se both dizzy type

i had 142bhp on twin 40#s and other mods. was fair nippy.
