brought my car with the eml on.
i plugged into it and it came up with egr valve (present fault)
i brought a brand spanking new egr valve and fitted it.
now when ever i drive it, its rather lumpy and juddery
(as if im repeatedly putting my foot on the accelerator on and off..)
once it warms up, the eml comes on and it runs perfect !
it does this every time i start it up :S
the eml light goes out wen i turn it off.
i plugged into it again at work and it came up with egr valve again but not as a present fault :S
any ideas ? maybe i brought a dodgy egr valve but it was brand new from partco :S:S
help please !!!

You read the new codes yet? Our astra mk3 courtesy car at work has a problem with icv's, runs shit till it gets hot then runs fine but eml comes on... Dont seem to do it atm cause i drove it yesterday. But i know it kept doing it a few weeks ago. Have to show me at college tuesday mate...

is it an oil burner
the egr line could be blocked...

alright cheers. yh i plugged into it againn, n it came up with egr valve again but it said it wasnt a present fault.
it was an oil burner but ive literally just rebuilt the engine. so i wouldnt have fort it was that warren.
where is the egr line located ? inside the inlet manifold ?
