do LV do agreed price policies or do you just get the money back for the base car and lose the money paid for the conversion?

Yep for a 2 litre

post code is DA2 6JW

no accident no points... was on my old mans insurance for three years driving a 1.4 16v.

and this quote included body kit, wheels, ICe and legal expenses too

i think it depends on who u talk to... my mate insured his punto with LV and half the mods he told the woman on the other side of the phone she didn't know what they were and he blagged it off as maintainance parts

hope this helps fella

Hmmmm this is sooooo weird. She phoned the underwriter while I was on the phone and they wouldn't even quote me....

I had an accident 3 years ago and I've got 3 points, but surely they could have just quoted me £1700 odd, ESPECIALLY as I'm 21!

ha ha I pay £687 FC for mine with LV. But then I do have 5yrs no claims and I'm 23. Arr the advantage of having your own policy when you're young.

LV don't replace your mods by the way. Only back to standard. but I'm saving a fortune so I'd have to be in a pretty bad crash to lose a lot. Hey you take your chances sometimes.

5 years I think with Liv Vic. Some insurers are only 3 years, some 4. I'll phone around Monday -- got some ideas....

Thats not what they told me on the phone cos I asked this question specifically! I've told them about all of mine (Kenni yes 2 litre on TB's) and she said they replace back to standard.

Also when I swapped the size of my wheels they said it doesn't matter they replace back to original anyway. Hmm what mods do you have Kris?

Liverpool Victoria do replace mods, actually......I asked that specifically when I took out the policy. Full like-for-like up to £5,000 per single part, I was told.

And I've been screwed-over with NCB aswell, since I was a named-driver for the first 7.5 years, but then again, I couldn't afford to run the car while in Uni.

So I'm now paying £820 on a 1.6 16v Sport, at 26, with 2 years NCB.
