whats the difference between blue and the pink coolant ?

pink can take lower temps iirc

pink has better lubricating capabilities. most newer cars only use pink. it also protects to a fractionally cooler temp.

ok cheers, just got my astra 1.7cdti back from a garage and theyve put blue coolant in. it used to have pink in it. would this be ok then?

Make sure it isn't Halfords standard pre-mix washer fluid
